Pick 1: OLD WORLD WINE PICK
A true gem from Margaux in the ’12 vintage, Labegorce shows approachable fruit, rich chocolate notes, hints of minerality with the typical Margaux finesse. This wine was one of my 3 favorites when tasting ’12 vintage Bordeauxs and is by far the best value. This wine more than gives Napa a run for its money!
– 92pts Falstaff Magazine – 91pts James Suckling –
A constant bargain, this white blend opens with notes of melon, flowers, pears and cantaloupe with zesty hints of lemon. All this melds on the palate with surprising thickness for such a crisp, fresh wine. If I had a boat, this would be my go to for lazy days!
– 90pts Robert Parker –
Brunellos are known for their intense body and tart cherry flavors. This wine exemplifies a great one, built with body and cherry, it shows elegance with layers of dark berries, orange peel, and rose petals. On the palate gives great minerality wrapped in its rustic and dusty tannic structure. Start grilling some steaks because this wines calling for one!
– 95pts James Suckling –
Rich and easy drinking fruit infused with notes of smoke and spice. On the palate, the tannins are firm and supple, giving a satisfying weight that doesn’t go overboard with a long and clean finish. This Ribera shows why the region is heralded for producing some of the world’s greatest bargains!
All of these wines were hand selected by our Somms Richard and Carlos Fonseca. For more information on any of these wines reach out to us on Facebook, or see us in the store.
