A consistent value, the Viña Ardanza from Rioja is the classic combo of luscious cherries and coconuts, with savory notes from the oak, balanced out with minerality. The wine is medium bodied and matches with practically everything.
Spain has the most planted vineyards in the world but is only the 3rd largest producer of wine.

Pick 2: Crowd Pleasing Wines
Dark, dense, and luscious. This cab is classic Napa with loads of blackberries and refined black currant. A touch of merlot and cab franc add layers of blueberries, red fruits, and create the round mouthfeel.
Paul Hobb’s is best known for creating the Alamos project for Catena in the 90s. His most recent project is a New York Finger Lakes Riesling slated for a 2018-2020 release.

If you have stopped drinking Merlot, you are missing out! Plumpjack Merlot is highly refined with big raspberry, black cherry, and gravel aromas plated on a clean, weighty, and silky tannins; making it one of California’s best reds.
Plumpjack winery founded in 1995 was named after a Shakespeare character: Sir John “PlumpJack” Falstaff. His character was a friend of the king in the play Henry the V.

Classic Albarino perfect for the hot winter we are having. Like most Albarinos it’s refreshing with mineral undertones but it sets itself apart with bigger fruit and a slightly richer body. The Marques de Vizhoja winery is built into a fortress from the 1700s and overlooks the Mino river in Galicia.
